Affair delivers a deeply emotional and narratively ambitious story that combines class divide, childhood trauma, and forbidden love. The pacing is sometimes delicate, but the use of flashbacks and mirrored character arcs makes the romance feel earned and powerful. Wan’s obsessive devotion and Pleng’s internal conflict create a rare GL story that feels raw, real, and uncomfortably honest.

Both lead actresses bring their characters to life with incredible emotional range. From soft vulnerability to explosive heartbreak, their performances never feel performative. Wan’s quiet intensity and Pleng’s restrained sensitivity complement each other perfectly—it’s acting that makes you feel, not just watch.

There’s no denying the spark between Wan and Pleng. It’s not just sexual tension—it’s 13 years of longing packed into every look and touch. The chemistry evolves from tender to desperate, from playful to possessive, echoing the slow-burn romance that GL fans live for.

While not the flashiest in terms of visuals, the production is clean, intimate, and emotionally driven. The soundtrack (especially the original theme song) is a standout element, adding lyrical beauty to pivotal scenes. Direction is subtle, letting emotion and character take center stage.

Affair wraps up with a satisfying emotional payoff. While it may not be the perfect ending for every viewer, it honors the growth of both characters—and their hard-fought journey to finally choose each other over everything else.
