“Gap: The Series” was produced by Idol Factory in 2022, breaking new ground in Thai television which had previously been dominated by Boys’ Love (BL) dramas. Prior to 2022, GL relationships had only appeared as subplots within BL stories.

The series faced unique challenges during production. The adult themes and intimate scenes required careful handling, especially considering that one of the lead actresses, Becky Armstrong, was only 20 years old during filming—technically too young to even watch the finished product, which was rated for viewers 21 and older.
