In a year packed with strong sapphic titles, Pluto stands out as the most emotionally resonant and narratively ambitious Thai GL drama of 2024. With themes of mistaken identity, twin dynamics, blindness, betrayal, and healing, it’s a series that dares to go beyond surface-level romance and explores the gravity of love, family, and personal agency.
Told with dual perspectives and layered symbolism, Pluto asks: what happens when love begins with a lie, and who do we become when faced with a truth that changes everything?
Twin sisters Ai and Oom have never been close. On Oom’s wedding day, she secretly asks Ai to meet her lover May and end things for good. But tragedy strikes that night—Oom is in a car accident and falls into a coma.
Out of obligation and compassion, Ai takes on the task. But when she finds May, she is shocked: May is blind, and deeply in love with “Oom.” Unable to deliver the breakup message, Ai pretends to be her sister and continues the relationship.
As their bond deepens, Ai finds herself entangled in a web of guilt, love, and deception. Meanwhile, May begins to suspect the truth, but her heart is drawn not to the name, but to the person behind the voice and touch. When Oom awakens and secrets begin to unravel—including the dark truth behind the car accident—three women must navigate love, memory, and identity to find their place in each other’s lives.
Pluto is a story about the people we become when everything we believe is turned upside down, and whether love—when born of lies—can still lead us home.

Pluto Review
Review

Pluto excels not just as a romance but as a complex character study. It moves past common tropes in Thai GL dramas—like coming-out arcs or male interference—and focuses instead on the emotional maturity and internal conflicts of its characters.
This drama shines in its use of symbolism. The title “Pluto” reflects the idea of being forgotten, orbiting far from the center—just as these characters struggle to find their emotional “home.” From disability, family trauma, and societal power dynamics, Pluto covers it all without ever feeling forced.
May’s character, in particular, is a milestone in GL storytelling. She is layered, ethical, vengeful, forgiving, and fully her own person. Ai’s character offers a grounding force—humble, loyal, and fiercely protective. Oom, on the other hand, represents the pain of being a secondary choice, but also the strength it takes to let go.
Even with minor flaws—some pacing inconsistencies, side characters that feel out of sync—Pluto remains one of the most complete and impactful Thai lesbian dramas ever aired.
